Lovely Stay - Rating 5/5

It's only drawback is being just over a mile from Herstmonceux village, otherwise it's great. Lovely house, gardens, location, hostess. Also delicious breakfast.

Wonderfully comfortable stay. - Rating 5/5

We stayed in the Balcony room, wonderfully comfortable, very large bed and plenty of space in the en-suite which had a bath and seperate shower.Had all the facilities we needed and the breakfast was excellent. This is the best b and b we have ever stayed in, it was a wrench to leave- I could quite happily have moved in!

Great place to stay - Rating 5/5

Cleavers Lyng is situated in the country down a quiet lane. The house has plenty of character and the bedroom ideal for the 2 of us, with a great view out of the window. Ideally placed for visiting, whether the coast, towns or castles and country houses. Some really good eating places around. The hosts, Sally and her husband were lovely. Very friendly, attentive and served superb breakfasts, Highly recommended.

Excellent All Round Stay - Rating 5/5

Beautiful house in a lovely peaceful setting. Our room had a balcony with great views across the countryside, and an extremely comfortable bed. Sally was the perfect hostess, welcoming and friendly, and provided a sumptuous cooked breakfast from an extensive menu not usually found in a B&B. We would highly recommend staying here if you are in this part of Sussex.

Even better on the second visit - Rating 5/5

Happily rebooked forthe calm of the location, the quality of the accommodation and the value for money. It is said one should breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and supper like a pauper. They must have had Cleavers Lyng breakfasts in mind when they created that saying.

Historical home - Rating 5/5

Very characterful 16th century home which feels like a traditional English B&B. Comfortable rooms and delicious breakfast with plenty of choice. Gorgeous gardens and view. Would recommend.
