Found on a quiet country lane Cleavers Lyng is an Ideal base for exploring 1066 Country. A grade II listed Country Guesthouse of considerable charm and character, with a history dating back to 1577. The original part of the house was built during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I to which the oak beams and inglenook fireplace in the breakfast area bear witness.

Our one and half acres of landscaped gardens have a wealth of birds and wildlife and are secluded and very peaceful. We have plenty of off road parking. For those that like to take a long walk or a short stroll you can take both directly from the property, with over 500 acres of the Herstmonceux Castle Estate or the hundreds of acres over the Pevensey Marshes.
